Fretonomy is an educational game designed to help you learn the notes and chords on the fretboard of various stringed instruments. With a selection of 9 different instruments to choose from, such as Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, and more, you can practice and master the fretboard in no time.

Customize your learning experience by selecting which section of the fretboard you want to practice on. Whether it's the first few frets, a specific section in the middle, or the entire fretboard, Fretonomy allows you to focus on the areas you need most.

The game offers a variety of training exercises to choose from. You can start by matching random notes with their corresponding frets on the fretboard or try something different with the Color Matching game. Additionally, the Name Chord game enables you to learn and master different chord patterns on the guitar by selecting specific chords to practice on any section of the fretboard.

The Staff game helps you quickly read notes on a musical staff. You can choose which section of the staff you want to practice on and select your preferred staff type to begin training. If you're up for an advanced challenge, you can even combine fretboard and staff training in the Staff and Fretboard game by matching notes on the staff with the corresponding frets on the fretboard.

For those looking to explore scales, the Scale Explorer game allows you to choose a root note and select from 63 different scales available. You can also customize the color of the notes on the fretboard for easier interval identification.

In addition to these games, Fretonomy offers a Chord Progression generator tool where you can create your own songs and learn how to play them right away. You can generate any popular chord progression in your desired scale and practice playing along using the playback feature.

With detailed statistics and a heat-map that tracks your progress on each instrument, tuning, and fret, you can easily monitor your improvement. Fretonomy also provides the option to share your progress with friends and compete with them on Game Center.

Fretonomy supports left-handed mode and various note notations including Solfege, Number, German, Japanese, Indian, Cyrillic, and Korean. Furthermore, it offers ear training for notes, intervals, and chords.
